GETtoKNOW Yasmin

Early Saturday morning, I by-pass the wonderful chaos that is all of the students arriving to the gardens to work in search of a quieter place to finish my coffee and finish waking up. I find Yasmin sitting alone, perhaps even more poised than she is in these images. As I notice how the light falls around her, I seize the opportunity and unpack my camera.
I ask for permission to take her photo before circling the table, finding the best light in the shaded area, and capturing these gems that I call pictures. With every click, she voices her discomfort and concern with her smile. I finish and sit beside her.
As we click through the pictures, she smiles.
she smiles as she sees her smile.
and I smile as I see her smile.
And I haven't finished my coffee, but I am definitely awake.
