Resource Hub: It is important to have a place for trusting relationships to exist and grow. The environment throughout the Northside is not only a food desert; it’s a resource desert. This means that in North City there is a huge need for places of peace.

In the next decade we are developing an entire city block to house resources for over 22 individual needs. The buildings at the corner of MLK and Taylor in the heart of North City will be outposts of light where everyone can safely have needs met. Not only is this strategically located in an up and coming commercial development area, it is also located at the intersection of the four neighborhoods that we are already working in. This means that our deep outreach approach will have a next step of taking people to a place of peace for deepening relationships.

This is a solution to a need that STL Mayor Tishaura Jones has also recently cast vision towards. During much of her administration in 2023 the mayor has expressed the idea that neighbors (specifically teens) need places to go and grow up in. "This is a primary investment, if we make the right primary investments we won't need to invest as much on secondary," said Jones.

Our Resource Hub team will exemplify collaborative leadership and will be ready to connect each individual with other nonprofits, specialists, community leaders, and outside resources. Our continued focus on deepening trust will show up daily as volunteers, staff, neighbors, and friends all work together to build a healthy environment.
