GETtoKNOW DeAngelo

It didn't take me long to know I'd have to use a much different interview approach with DeAngelo than I did with everyone else because it is clear that he has something to say. So I started off with this question: What do you want the world to know about you?

At the beginning of his reply, he began to describe himself:"I'm tall, brown hair..." and I smiled and stopped him to let him know that I was going to include a picture of him in my excerpt so he didn't have to describe himself physically.

He nods and moves onto to something else.

"I like to hangout and listen to music. Hip-hop music."

The conversation starts to flow, I dont even need to ask another question. DeAngelo just keeps going.

"I have a funny personality but I can be serious at times too."

"Not many people know this, but I'm artistic."

"I love to learn new things."

DeAngelo told me that he sees himself inspiring others in the future as a lawyer. But he made sure to end with this:

"I'm still learning about myself."

And I don't say this out loud, but I feel and know it to be true, that even at 23 and every moment hereafter, I will still be learning about myself too.
