Dancing in the Commons: Tango (August 3) - St. Louis Public Radio, Nine Network and AARP in St. Louis partner for the for the first time to bring tango to the Public Media Commons on Olive, free to the public! Convergence Dance and Body Center will provide professional dancers to demonstrate the basic steps before attendees try it themselves. While the event is free registration is required! Blues at the Arch (August 3, 10, 17, 24) - Every Friday night during the month of August, you can find food, drinks, and blues music at the Arch! Bring a lawn chair to the North Gateway of the Arch park grounds and settle in for a night of incredible music and fun. Saint Louis African American Artifacts Festival and Bazaar (August 18) - For the fifth year, Saint LAAA FAB will share the rich history of peoples of African descent. They will set up in Crown Square Plaza and use artifacts, art, music, dance, food, vendors, children activities, health & wellness, and prizes and bring cultural exposure and education in hopes of increasing cultural appreciation and understanding. Festival of the Nations (August 26-27) - This festival is a great opportunity to not only explore cultures unknown, but to celebrate them!
